It doesn't count as spending money on yourself when you buy a cartridge to make a Christmas gift, right? I bought the Cars Disney/Pixar cartridge and ruby glitter, black, white and yellow vinyl from Oh My Crafts. I cut the car at 6.5", the "McQueen" at 2" and my grandson's name is AJ and that is cut at 1". I cut it first out of paper so I knew where all the pieces went and that the size was right. The frame is a floating frame for an 8"x 10" picture.

Great idea! I'll have to make some for my kiddos' rooms. Also, thanks for the info on how to cut only the part of the image I want. I have DS but it is still in the box. :(
