Throwback Thursday Challange~Bugs

This weeks challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is to make a project of your choice with an older cartridge of your choice using a "Bug" theme.  I used this theme to make my husbands Valentine's card using an old favourite cartridge, Create A Critter.  I also used Emma's stamp from the 100% Sweetness set, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Tuxedo Black ink and a glitter pen.  All of the paper used is SU.
Be sure to stop by Emma's blog this week as she is doing sneak peeks of her new release that will be available on Friday.  If you are not familiar with Emma's amazing stamps and dies you have to check them out.  Emma makes the most informative videos of the beautiful projects that she makes.
Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Announcements

My daughters BFF is due any day now and is having a little boy.  His room is decorated with monkeys in brown and green.  So I made up a package of announcement cards to give her.  I used my Imagine with the Nursery Tails and Create a Critter cartridges.  The original announcement card had a giraffe layer.  I didn't cut that.  I placed the monkey over top of a little tree.  I then packaged them up with envelopes and added a matching topper.

Supplies:
Paper:  White (Recollections), Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip (SU)
Ink:  Brown (Momento), White Gelly Roll Pen
Stamps:  Well Scripted (SU)
Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip (SU)
Embellishment:  Seeing Spots (Cuttlebug folder)

So Cute

These are a couple of cards that I had made and not posted as well as one the I received from a fellow blogger.  Carri over at http://doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com/ and I share a birthday and we exchanged cards.
This first card I have wanted to make this owl cut for some time it is adorable.  For the rectangle and the scalloped rectangle I used the Slumber Party Lite cartridge and I used double sided paper so it co-ordinated perfectly.  All the paper except for the white and kraft cs are Martha Stewart.  I used the Classic Oval Large spellbinders and Stampin Up stamp.
This is the card that I sent to Carri.  All the paper is SU and I used a SU heart border punch and stamp.  The cuttlebug folder is Paisley and the cut is from Hello Kitty
This is the adorable card that I received from Carri.  Isn't this bird so cute?  Thanks Carri!!
All Canadian followers make sure you come back on Tuesday for the BIG giveaway.

Thanks for stopping by.

Using My New Cartridges

For Christmas I received the Hello Kitty Font and Create A Critter, Twinkle Toes, and Jolly Holidays cartridges and after Christmas I ordered Simply Charmed, Hello Kitty Greetings, Gingerbread Solutions and Sportsmania.
I finally had some time this week to play with some of them.  I needed to make a birthday card for my Step-Daughters 26th birthday.  I used the HK Font cart, my new Gypsy and a MS corner punch that I got from my daughter.  Icicle stickles gave it a bit of sparkle.
I love this green and purple paper from Recollections.  The adorable skunk was cut at 3" from CAC.  I  printed  the sentiment using the Kristen font at 18pt.
I just ordered some 3 x 3 envelopes from SU so I thought I would make a card that size.  It is smaller than I thought, but it is really cute to go along with a gift.  The cake is cut at 2.53" using the gypsy from Simply Charmed.  So adorable.
I am really loving my gypsy and these new cartridges are just so cute.
Thanks for stopping by.
