Quick and Simple

This card was for my Mom and Step-Dad's 22nd Wedding Anniversary.  The card is 4.5 x 4.5 white base with a 4.25 x 4.25 white layer embossed with the Paper Lace Cuttlebug folder.  The flowers are from the Art Philosophy cartridge cut at 4", 3.25", 2.5" and 2" and a Momenta metal sticker in the middle.  The stamp is from Scrappy Mom Stamps Everyday Greetings and the punch is the Modern Label punch (SU).

5 Months 'til Christmas Blog Hop

5 Month until Christmas, oh my.  Have you started you shopping yet?  I haven't.  If you came here from the super talented Mary's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and want to start at the beginning then go to Sally's blog.
Once again our blog hop consists of 2 cards on each blog, one using a colouring medium and one using a die cutting machine. When Christmas comes around we will not have to worry about finding the time to get our cards done. I hope that you will play along with us.
My first card is using a free digital stamp from KL Dezigns.  The paper used on both of these cards is from the new Recollections Frosty Cabin stack that I picked up at Michaels.  Yes, Christmas stacks are in stores now.  I may have to pick up another one of these stacks, I love the papers in it.  The adorable little Christmas tree brad is by Spare Parts that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
Copics:
BV4, BV08, BV23,
V20,
R29, R35, RV21, RV66
B00, B02, B05
Y15, YG61, YG63, YG67
G07

My second card was made using the Cricut Imagine and the Snow Angels cartridge.  I cut the house and  all of the layers and popped them up on pop dots.  I like to layer with the Imagine cuts to give it some dimension.  I also went over all of the snow with a Sakura glitter pen.  The sentiment was cut out using the Label Four Spellbinders die and then I trimmed off a bit from the top and bottom and then layered it on the red that cut using the same die.  I have to admit that I kept the two pieces that I cut off the sentiment. They look like little brackets.  Would you have kept little pieces like that?  I seem to keep everything.

Your next stop is the amazing Heather,

Craft Room Peg Board

On my recent US shopping trip (see below if you haven't seen the haul photo's) I bought a lot of embellishments and wasn't sure how to store them.  I just happened to ask my husband how much it would be for a peg board.  His response as usual was you don't have any room for anything else. lol  A little while later I went into his workshop where he was working on his models and noticed one of his peg boards and told him that it would be perfect in my craft room.  Well a couple of days later it was up in my craft room.
I think I might paint it but I was so excited to hang up my new embellishments.  I will have to stop at Home Depot and pick up some more hooks.

Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for the 5 Months 'til Christmas Blog Hop.  I really love how my cards turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Winter Marci

I spent the afternoon in my craft room today putting away my new supplies and playing a bit.  I have some digi's but I have had a problem with them smearing when I colour them with my Copics.  I decided to try printing them out using the printer that is hooked up to our main computer.  Well they turned out perfect.  I made my copic card for the Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop that is coming up on July 25th as well as August 25th.  So I am ahead of the game now.
I wanted to make a card that I could post today so I used this Winter Marci digi from La La Land.  I used some of my new paper from DCWV Formal Affair stack and the embellishment is the Momenta metal stickers new at Michaels.

US Shopping Trip Haul

My husband and I just spent a couple of days across the border in Erie, Pa.  We like to go there once a year and go shopping.  I use it as my time to stock up on crafting supplies as things are so much cheaper.  A new Hobby Lobby has opened since we were there last and I had never been to one before.  I loved it.  I was also able to use my Michaels employee discount there which was great.  I hope you enjoy my photo's, I can't wait to play with all of my new supplies.
