Bellarific

Last year on our holidays in August, my DH drove me to Stamping Bella (Isn't he wonderful). We live about an hour and a half away and he sat in the car while I wandered around drooling over the amazing stamps. I had just started stamping a couple of months before, in May, and had become hooked. I then started blog hopping and came across Stamping Bella and fell in love with these adorable stamps. That is also when I came across the cricut and My Pink Stamper. I was so excited and wanted a cricut and thought maybe DH would get me one for Christmas. Well we got married in June in Niagara Falls and the day after we got married we crossed the border and my DH took me to AC Moore and bought me a cricut expression. What a wedding gift.
Anyway back to the Stamping Bella's. I have been trying to figure out what to do with the bubbles on this stamp. I have been looking for Liquid Applique everywhere but couldn't find it so I thought I would try the Glossy Accents and they turned out great. It is hard to see it in the photo but the bubbles are shiny and oh so cute.

Supplies:
Paper: Pacific Point cs (SU), light blue (Textura), white (Georgia-Pacific), patterned paper ( Nana's Kids DCWV)
Stamps: Bubblebella (Stamping Bella), Cute Converse (SU)
Ink: Pacific Point (SU), Blush Blossom, Apricot Appeal, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, and Close to Cocoa Stampin Write Markers (SU)
Punch: Bubbles (EK Success)

US Shopping Haul

We just got back from our vacation in Erie, Pa. We go there once or twice a year to do some shopping. We love the fact that we can get things there that we can't get in Canada and the prices are amazing. My husband and I and my daughter and SIL went and we had a great time. We definitly got some great deals and will put all of our craft supplies to good use. I was so happy to get 2 cricut lite cartridges as we do not have them available here. I got Handy Man and B is for Boy. I bought so much paper that it had it's own suitcase (6 DCWV stacks and 7 different brand packages). I finally got myself an embellishment center from Michaels, I bought my daughter and my step-daughter one last Christmas. I got my first set of Nestabilities( large ovals). Check out all the photos below. My daughter will be posting photos of her haul as well on her blog http://bellascraftycreations.blogspot.com/

HAPPY HOPPING

My first project is a banner. I designed it using my Design Studio. I used the Wild Card and Lyrical Letters cartridges. I cut the Maple Leaf at 6" and welded the letters to spell Canada at 2 1/2". The first photo shows how I laid out the first four letters on the mat. I turned some upside down and moved them in close to each other so I could fit as many as possible on the mat. I also used the hide contour feature to remove the veins of the leaves. Once they were cut out I laid each leaf on a 6" X 6" piece of white cs. For the holes for the ribbon I stacked each of the six pieces of white cs , marked on the top one where I wanted to punch the holes and using my Big Bite Crop-a-dile to cut through all six pieces. It was the first time I had used it and it went through all six like butter.

Supplies:
Paper: Ruby Red cs (SU), White cs (Textura)
Ribbon: Striped (Michael's)

My second project is a Hanging Treat Holder. The tutorial is from Split Coast Stampers/http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/hanging_treat_box/
Inside the treat holder I put two packages of sunblock and a package of Crystal Lite and hung it from a bottle of water. Once again I used the Wild Card cartridge to cut a Maple Leaf at 3" and doodled all the way around it. I printed the sentiment out from my computer.

Supplies:
Paper: Ruby Red cs (SU), Red gingham (Creative Memories, probably retired it is so old)

My final project for today is a card, this is the Canadian flag. Very simple to do two red strips of cs 1 1/2" X 4 1/4" and a red Maple leaf cut from the Wild Card cartridge at 1 1/4" and coloured with Xmas Red stickles.
