Love Soccer Layout

I may have mentioned it before (lol), but I love my Silhouette Cameo.  I wanted to show you how I am planning out my whole layout in the Silhouette Designer Studio.  I put all of my cuts together and fill them with the colours and papers that I want to use.  This first photo is a screen shot of the layout I have planned.
The second photo is a screen shot of how I have everything laid out on my 12 x 24 mat.  This just my cuts, I did a separate page to just print the soccer ball photo mats and I just cut them with my paper trimmer.
This is how it turned out.  I have started making a few layouts in my Sil DS and just have to cut them out when I am ready.

The title Love Soccer is from http://www.misskatecuttables.com/products/50-store/love-soccer-title.php but it is also available from the Silhouette online store, which is where the other cuts are from as well as the soccer ball digi paper file.

You Are My Sunshine

I made this for a baby shower gift.  I like that it is appropriate for a babies room but could be used anywhere in the home and it isn't babyish.
The saying is cut from vinyl and attached to the grey polka dot paper.

Cupcake Toppers

My daughter was asked to make 8 doz. cupcakes for a baby shower.  She is making fondant for for 1/2 of them and I make toppers for the other 1/2.
I designed these using files from the Sil store and print and cut them.  I think I got the easy part of the job. LOL  Making 96 cupcakes is a lot of cupcakes.

10 Months 'til Christmas 2013 Blog Hop

Another month down!  Where does the time go?  If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along with us then go to Shari's blog to start at the begining.
This year we are doining two projects, they could be cards, bags, tags, anything to do with Christmas and we will be have a theme each month.  This months theme is Red, White and another colour, I chose Green.
My first project is a card using Copic markers and I also used my Silhouette to cut out the digi stamp.  The digi is Lantern Marci by La La Land stamps
 Copics:
R24, R29, R35, R59
C3, C5, C7, 100
YG61, YG63, YG67
Y11, Y13, Y15, YR02, YR21
E000, E00, E11, R20

My second project is a decor item.  I used a file from the Silhouette online store and cut out each of the layers.  Do you see how thin the font is for the  "Tis the".  That was cut with the Silhouette out of cardstock.  Have I told you how much I love the Sihouette Cameo?  Well, actually I think I have many times (lol), but I really do.  After I layered everything and glittered the letters with my glitter pen I placed it in a 5x7 frame.
This month our guest designer is the very talented Janis from Pause Dream Joy.  Your next stop on the blog hop is  Tara's blog

If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along you can start at Shari's blog.
It's a new year and another countdown until Christmas.  It was so nice not to have to worry about making my Christmas cards amongst all the other chaos of Christmas.  This time around we are going to be making 2  projects (cards, tags, decorations, etc.) following a theme.  The theme for January is Snowbound (snow themed projects).
Both of my projects this month are cards.  My first card is using a cut file from the Sil online store.
My second card is using a digi stamp from Limited Run Stamps .  The owner Nikki is our guest designer this month.  Be sure to stop by her store and check out her adorable stamps.

Copics:

Custom Vinyl Orders

I have had a few custom orders lately.  The first one is a subway art which includes the family name, the family members names and some words that mean something to the family.  I was doing these with my Imagine and printing them.  This is the first one that I have done with the vinyl and  it more crisp and clear than the printed ones.
My next order was for a customized cake carrier.  This one says" Baked with Love by" and "Something Sweet", with black and hot pink vinyl.

Be sure to stop by on Friday January 25th for the 11 Months til Christmas Blog Hop!

Cupcake Carrier

I was asked to decorate a cupcake carrier by a co-worker for her daughter.  She had seen the one that I did for the Secret Santa at work and loved it.  She said I could chose the colours and she wanted it to say "Something Sweet by Nicole" and whatever else I wanted.  So on the other side I put "Cute as a Cupcake".

I wanted to let you know that I had to add on the comment verification due to the number of spam comments I was getting.
I am also thinking about changing the name of my blog.  I am still thinking about a new name but I would like something that sounds a bit more professional as I am looking at selling some of the things that I make.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cake Carrier

At work we picked names for a Secret Santa. The person that I picked likes to bake and I had this cake carrier that I had bought to decorate so I thought this was the perfect time for this.  It was my first time putting larger words with vinyl on a curved surface.  It wasn't as easy as I had hoped, the words need a bit of a curve to them.  It was a learning process.
I hope she likes it.

1 Month 'til Christmas

If you came here from Mary's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and you would like to hop along with us then you can go to my friend Heathers blog at http://princesspaperprojects.blogspot.com/.
Well this is our last blog hop before Christmas.  It's crunch time.  Time to get those Christmas cards mailed out.  Now for the big decision will be who gets what card.  Sending the best cards to the people who will appreciate it the most.  Admit it, I know you do it too. lol
This month I have made a card and a holiday decor item.
My first project is a plate to put your cookies for Santa on.  This was super easy and I used my Cameo to cut the vinyl for the lettering and the large circles and punches for the smaller circles.
I work beside a little Cafe and the owner has put these 2 plates on her counter to see if I can sell some.  My fingers are crossed.

My second project is a card that was also cut with the Silhouette Cameo.  It was a card file from the Silhouette store which I adjusted to just be a layer for the front of my card.
Your next stop is Georgiana's blog
I hope that you have enjoyed the Christmas cards and projects that we have been making every month and I hope that we have inspired you.  Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and wishing health and happiness to all.

Delicate Flower

I love these delicate cut cards from the Silhouette online store.  They cut beautifully too, crisp and clean lines.  I loved how the navy and yellow one turned out so much that I had to make the grey and pink one.  The photo doesn't show the grey & pink card as good as it really looks.  It is my bosses 65th birthday coming up so one of these will be for her.
I also used up some scraps on these cards to decorate the top of the card.  We all have those leftover strips of paper that hold on to.

Halloween Charger

I am having so much fun using my Silhouette Cameo.  I picked up these chargers at Michael's in assorted colours.  This one is a lime green.  I made this this morning while I was doing laundry and before I went to work.  I had to find a little time to play.

2 Months 'til Christmas Blog Hop

If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along you can start at the beginning at Mary's blog.
That's right 2 months until Christmas, 8 weeks, 60 days, 4 pays.  You get the drift.  Who's done their shopping?  Not me, but I am getting there.  If you saw my last two post you will have seen that I got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas.  "It's not Christmas yet", you say, how can that be?  Well hubby let me open it early as I have some Christmas gifts that I would like to make with it.  I used it for both of my projects this month.
We are changing things up a bit this month and expanding the Christmas theme to include any Christmas items, cards, tags, gift bags, decor, anything.
My first project is a card.  I used copics and the Silhouette.  I used the Silhouette to print and cut the digi stamp Mrs Claus from Kenny K.  I also cut a shadow layer for it.  I love that I can do this.  I hated cutting out images.
Supplies:
Paper: Black, white (Recollections), Real Red (SU), Fabulous Christmas (Hobby Lobby) LOVE the leopard print.
Stamps:  Mrs Claus(Kenny K), Christmas Wishes(My Pink Stamper)
Liquid Applique
Copics: E00, E000, E29, E33, E35, E37
C5, C7, 100
R20,R29, R32, R35, R59
Y15
B05, BG10

My second project is a file I got from a group on FB.  I cut it from vinyl.  It took a little while to weed but was worth it.  I bought an assortment of these chargers at Michaels for this type of project.  For the circles around the outside I just used my 1' punch.
