8 Months til Christmas Blog Hop 2013

Well it is 8 months until Christmas and I really thought that we would have some warmer weather by now.  Every time we get snow my husband says "this will be the last of it" and the next week it is snowing again.  I have had enough of it.
On with the blog hop, if you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop with us you can start at Shari's blog.
Our theme for this month is Animals.  I used a reindeer as the animal on both of my projects.  My first project is a card using Copic markers and a stamp by Recollections.
Copics:
E00, E33, E35, E37
B00, B02
R22, R24, R29
YG67

For my second project I used vinyl in a picture frame.  The frame is 7.5" x 15" which is wider than most cardstock so I used wrapping paper for the background.  I flipped my designs so that I could stick them to the back of the glass.
A couple of weeks ago we had Scrapfest in Kitchener and my daughter and I went and did some shopping.  I was also lucky enough to finally be able to meet up with one of my fellow blog hop friends, Heather.  We have been talking for a couple of years now and have been wanting to meet up.  She is just as adorable in person and I really enjoyed meeting her and her lovely parents.  We will now have to plan to get together with more of our local blog hop friends.

The next stop on the blog hop is Tara's blog

10 Months 'til Christmas 2013 Blog Hop

Another month down!  Where does the time go?  If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along with us then go to Shari's blog to start at the begining.
This year we are doining two projects, they could be cards, bags, tags, anything to do with Christmas and we will be have a theme each month.  This months theme is Red, White and another colour, I chose Green.
My first project is a card using Copic markers and I also used my Silhouette to cut out the digi stamp.  The digi is Lantern Marci by La La Land stamps
 Copics:
R24, R29, R35, R59
C3, C5, C7, 100
YG61, YG63, YG67
Y11, Y13, Y15, YR02, YR21
E000, E00, E11, R20

My second project is a decor item.  I used a file from the Silhouette online store and cut out each of the layers.  Do you see how thin the font is for the  "Tis the".  That was cut with the Silhouette out of cardstock.  Have I told you how much I love the Sihouette Cameo?  Well, actually I think I have many times (lol), but I really do.  After I layered everything and glittered the letters with my glitter pen I placed it in a 5x7 frame.
This month our guest designer is the very talented Janis from Pause Dream Joy.  Your next stop on the blog hop is  Tara's blog

11 Months til Christmas Blog Hop

If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along you can start at Shari's blog.
It's a new year and another countdown until Christmas.  It was so nice not to have to worry about making my Christmas cards amongst all the other chaos of Christmas.  This time around we are going to be making 2  projects (cards, tags, decorations, etc.) following a theme.  The theme for January is Snowbound (snow themed projects).
Both of my projects this month are cards.  My first card is using a cut file from the Sil online store.
My second card is using a digi stamp from Limited Run Stamps .  The owner Nikki is our guest designer this month.  Be sure to stop by her store and check out her adorable stamps.

Christmas Elf Marci

Here is a few Christmas cards I made using the Christmas Elf Marci digi by La La Land Stamps.  I was hoping to cut them out with my Cameo but for some reason it read the registration marks but cut way off.  I managed to same the digi but cut it out by hand and then just left the other ones.
I feel like I learned so much by taking the copic class with Suzanne Dean and enjoy colouring digis.

2 Months 'til Christmas Blog Hop

If you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop along you can start at the beginning at Mary's blog.
That's right 2 months until Christmas, 8 weeks, 60 days, 4 pays.  You get the drift.  Who's done their shopping?  Not me, but I am getting there.  If you saw my last two post you will have seen that I got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas.  "It's not Christmas yet", you say, how can that be?  Well hubby let me open it early as I have some Christmas gifts that I would like to make with it.  I used it for both of my projects this month.
We are changing things up a bit this month and expanding the Christmas theme to include any Christmas items, cards, tags, gift bags, decor, anything.
My first project is a card.  I used copics and the Silhouette.  I used the Silhouette to print and cut the digi stamp Mrs Claus from Kenny K.  I also cut a shadow layer for it.  I love that I can do this.  I hated cutting out images.
Supplies:
Paper: Black, white (Recollections), Real Red (SU), Fabulous Christmas (Hobby Lobby) LOVE the leopard print.
Stamps:  Mrs Claus(Kenny K), Christmas Wishes(My Pink Stamper)
Liquid Applique
Copics: E00, E000, E29, E33, E35, E37
C5, C7, 100
R20,R29, R32, R35, R59
Y15
B05, BG10

My second project is a file I got from a group on FB.  I cut it from vinyl.  It took a little while to weed but was worth it.  I bought an assortment of these chargers at Michaels for this type of project.  For the circles around the outside I just used my 1' punch.

So just a little run down as usual we will be creating 2 cards;

* 1 card/project to be an image (digi stamp, rubber stamp or hand drawn) coloured with any medium

* 1 card/project to be made with some type of die cut tool as the focal point of the card/project

4 Months 'til Christmas

Well another month closer to Christmas.  It's time to start thinking about gift ideas.  I am the first stop on the hop this month and as usual we will be showing one card using a die cut machine and the other using a stamp and a colouring medium.
For my first card I used my Cricut E2, Gypsy and the Christmas cartridge which was a free add on to the Gypsy.  I have wanted to use this cut for awhile.  The background paper is printed from the Vintage Papers cartridge and the Imagine.  I add some Dew Drops and a silver glittery pipe cleaner.  Isn't that perfect for tinsel.
My second card is a digi from KL Dezigns.  I added the stockings cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge to the fireplace and  used a brad to attach them.  The background paper is from the Recollections Frosty Cabin stack.  I thought it looked like wallpaper.  I added a bit of Gelly Roll glitter pen to the fire.
Copics:
W3, C5, 100
E23, E29, E33, E35, E87
Y21, YR02, YR04,

Man cards

This first card was for my husbands birthday.  I used the Father's Day cartridge for the car and the Diamond Plate cuttlebug folder used on silver SU cardstock
The second is a Father's Day card for my Dad.  My Mom just got back from a trip to England.  I was born in England and came to Canada when I was almost 10yrs old.  I asked my Mom to look for a stamp set with typically English images.  My Dad will get a kick out of this card with the Double Decker bus.  I remember as a kid I loved riding on the top of the bus.

Supplies
Paper:  Crumb Cake (SU), Worn Wood, (MME)
Stamps: Portobello Road (Urban Stamps), Teeny Tiny Wishes(SU)
Punches & Dies: Labels Four (Spellbinders), Modern Label punch, Word Window(SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Frayed Burlap (Distress Ink), White Gelly Roll

I bought this soccer player stamp at the Scrapfest that I was at recently.  I bought it specifically for my Nephew's birthday card.  This stamp even looks like him.
