I didn't think other people would be interested in my work but as people started following and leaving comments it gave me such a boost of confidence. I have taken part in a lot of challenges and a couple of blog hops and become friendly with many fellow bloggers. I now have over 200 followers and just hit 10,000 hits. I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments and support and I will be giving away the Pumpkin Carving cartridge.

Faux Window Technique

On a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of white cs I stamped my image, sponged assorted greens and blues over top and then cut the cs at 2 1/4" and each half at 2 1/4". The four pieces were then matted a 5" X 5" piece of black cs. A 3" X 5" piece of patterened paper was used as a valance.

Paper: Mellow Moss cs, black, white and kraft dsp (SU)
Ink: Soft Suede, assorted blues and greens (SU), Tuxedo Black (Memento), Black pen(Marvy)
Stamps:Lovely As A Tree and Whimsical Words (SU)
Ribbon: Basic Black (SU)

Throwback Thursday Challenge--EDPD

This weeks challenge over at Emma's blog is to make a project using Everyday Paper Dolls and the theme is Animals.

I know that fish are not animals but I really wanted to use this cut. I have been saving the packaging from all of my cricut cartridges and I decided to use some today for this card. I cut the fish bowl at 4" from the kraft cs, the water patterned paper and the plastic. To cut the plastic was cut using the regular blade all setting on max and multi-cut. I cut perfectly.

Paper: Crumb Cake cs, Dusty Durango cs (SU), Water patterened paper (CM)and Sweets Stack (DCWV)

Cartridge: Everyday Paper Dolls

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento) White gelly roll pen

Punches: Modern Label Punch (SU)

Stamps: Congrats (SU)

Ribbon: Dusty Durango ribbon (SU)

It has been brought to my attention that sometimes it is hard to find where to leave a comment. Sometimes is shows up and sometimes it doesn't. I am not sure how to fix that so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. To leave a comment just move your cursor over the white bar under the post and it will appear.

Throwback Thursday Challenge Episode 104

This weeks challenge over at Emma's blog is to make a shaped card and use orange. Emma is using the Create A Critter cartridge, I don't have that one so I used Doodlecharms. I used my Design Studio and welded two baskets (shadow feature)together and welded a pumpkin to the bottom to join the baskets together at the bottom of the card. I then cut the regular basket cut and stamped with a wood grain stamp using Versamark.

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, (SU), Red (MS), Pumpin Pie DSP (SU)
Stamps: Everyday Face Assortment (PK), Wood grain (Hero Arts)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU) Versamark, Chocolate Chip Marker (SU), White gelly roll
Embellishments: Hemp (Walmart)
