So Cute

These are a couple of cards that I had made and not posted as well as one the I received from a fellow blogger.  Carri over at http://doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com/ and I share a birthday and we exchanged cards.

This first card I have wanted to make this owl cut for some time it is adorable.  For the rectangle and the scalloped rectangle I used the Slumber Party Lite cartridge and I used double sided paper so it co-ordinated perfectly.  All the paper except for the white and kraft cs are Martha Stewart.  I used the Classic Oval Large spellbinders and Stampin Up stamp.

 This is the card that I sent to Carri.  All the paper is SU and I used a SU heart border punch and stamp.  The cuttlebug folder is Paisley and the cut is from Hello Kitty

 This is the adorable card that I received from Carri.  Isn't this bird so cute?  Thanks Carri!!

Throwback Thursday Challenge~Walk In My Garden

This weeks challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is to use Walk In My Garden cartridge.  I have had this cartridge for awhile but I hate to admit it I haven't used it before.  So this was a good opportunity.  My Mom had knee surgery on Tuesday so I made this card for her.

Baby Step's

Kate's ABC's

Kate's ABC's was a January release that along with Baby Steps is a Joann's exclusive.  I have heard from alot of you on Facebook that you have been having a hard time finding them.  The first Joann's that I went to on Saturday did not have it but the second one had them both but only one of each.  These two cartridges are adorable and I highly recommend both of them.

Haul Photo's and a Giveaway

Yesterday my daughter, my Mom and I took a trip across the border shopping.  We live in Ontario, Canada and we went to Niagara Falls and Amherst NY.  We left at 8am and arrived at the border about 9:45am, we usually don't hit too much traffic but maybe because it was a long weekend there was an hour and a half wait.  Which cut into our shopping time.  Our first stop was Joann's  where I picked up 5 DCWV stacks a stamp set and a EK Success punch.  They did not have the new Joann's exclusive cartridges.  We then went to the Fashion Outlet Mall.  My Mom & I love Kirklands, I got a couple of pictures there.  We then went to Amherst, Michael's was the first stop there after a very yummy lunch at TGI Friday's.  At Michael's I just got a scrapbook some pens for doing stitching and a couple of packs of Recollections paper.

The next stop was Buffalo Stamps & Stuff (LSS) but they were just closing when we got there so we just had a quick look around but didn't get anything.

Then we were off to another Joann's, this one did have the exclusive cartridges but only one of each so sorry to anyone who live near there I bought the Kate's ABC and Baby Steps cartridges which were both on sale for $34.99.  They also had Spellbinders on sale for 40% off so I got the Fancy Tags, Ribbon Tag Trio Two, Classic Ovals Small and the Classic Scalloped Ovals Small.  I also got a 1" circle punch and two more DCWV stacks.  I was so happy with all of my Joann's purchases that we didn't even bother going to AC Moore which is usually a first stop.  We then did Target, Walmart and Kohls.  At Walmart I got Lacy Labels, we don't have it at our Walmart in Canada and I got a couple of boxes of envelopes.

We started our trip home about 9pm and had another long wait at the border.  We got home about midnight.  It was a long day but we had a great time and I am so happy with my deals.  I can't wait to play with them.

 In honor of my birthday which was on Wednesday and reaching 300 followers which also happened on Wednesday I am having a giveaway.  I want to thank all of you that stopped by and wished me Happy Birthday, I really appreciate it.  All of your wonderful comments mean so much to me.

It's My Birthday!!

Today is my birthday!  I just want to crawl back into bed, I don't feel good, my throat is really sore and I can't stop coughing and I have to work a 12 hour shift today.  Oh well!.
Anyway I wanted to mention that I share this day and a name (just spelled different) with a fellow crafter Carri over at http://doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com/ .  Carri sent me the most adorable card and some cute embellishments.  I wanted to take a picture but my batteries are dead in my camera.  I will get one posted this weekend.  Also this weekend I am going shopping across the border in Niagara Fall with my daughter and my Mom, so there will be haul photos posted this weekend.  So be sure to stop by on Sunday.  I will also have a giveaway on Sunday as I reached 300 followers today.
