Wacky Wednesday #22~Gift Card Holders

This is my first time taking part in a Wacky Wednesday challenge held over at Paula's blog http://morethanfavors.blogspot.com/ .  The challenge this week is to make a gift card holder.  The mat for this card is from Martha Stewart's In Key and Heart mat pad.  I love the paper in this stack, it is so classy.  The heart paper is from K & Co. and the card base is SU Crumb Cake.  The brad is also SU.  The tag and envelope are cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and the "Gift" is from Gypsy Wanderings.

Using My New Cartridges

For Christmas I received the Hello Kitty Font and Create A Critter, Twinkle Toes, and Jolly Holidays cartridges and after Christmas I ordered Simply Charmed, Hello Kitty Greetings, Gingerbread Solutions and Sportsmania.
I finally had some time this week to play with some of them.  I needed to make a birthday card for my Step-Daughters 26th birthday.  I used the HK Font cart, my new Gypsy and a MS corner punch that I got from my daughter.  Icicle stickles gave it a bit of sparkle.
I love this green and purple paper from Recollections.  The adorable skunk was cut at 3" from CAC.  I  printed  the sentiment using the Kristen font at 18pt.
I just ordered some 3 x 3 envelopes from SU so I thought I would make a card that size.  It is smaller than I thought, but it is really cute to go along with a gift.  The cake is cut at 2.53" using the gypsy from Simply Charmed.  So adorable.
I am really loving my gypsy and these new cartridges are just so cute.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sponges

This tab was cut at 2" from the From My Kitchen cartridge.  I am using it to label my sponges with the colour that I used it for.  I wrote the ink colour on the label, scored and folded the label in half and stapled it to the sponge.
My husband bought me an organizer used for nails and screws for Christmas.  I am using it for my embellishments.  I have my sponges in the little drawers by colour family.  I have drawers with my different googly eyes (coloured, with lashes), bells and bling.

Recycle Reuse

Do you know what this pile is?

Here is another look.  Any guesses?

Well if you didn't guess it is the plastic packaging from the cricut cartridges.  I have been saving them and they have been piling up.  Today I decided to trim off the edges so they are easier to store.  What do you do with yours?  Do you keep them and use them?
I have cut them using my cricut (regular blade at 6, max, max).  Here is a fish bowl that I cut.  http://mommakcrafts.blogspot.com/2010/10/throwback-thursday-challenge-edpd.html  I also use them for windows in boxes.  Let us know what you use yours for.

Throwback Thursday "Viewers Choice" ~Challenge

I am so happy that Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge is back.  I work better with a bit of inspiration.  This weeks challenge is to use the older cartridge of your choice but you must use a heart on your project.
My New Years Resolution is to do more scrapbook pages and my wedding album is my first priority.  This is the first page of my album which is an 8" x 8" size.  I used my new Gypsy to layout everything, including being able to perfectly set up my photo to be cut in the heart shape and also my new printer for the date.

Supplies:
Paper: Crumb Cake cs (SU), Perfect Plum DSP (SU)
Ink:  White Jelly Roll pen, Black pen (Marvy)
Cartridges:  Wedding Solutions (Double Heart and "I Do"), Twinkle Toes (Frame)

Catching up

I have been trying out some of my new Christmas gifts.  I Cut this door hanger from Tags, Bags, boxes and More and the nail polish and "fashion queen" are from Forever Young.  Then I used my new laminator and laminated it.

This is my first project with my new Gypsy.  The background shape is from "Just Because" Cards and the wine bottle and glass are from the "Summer In Paris"  Solutions cartridge.
This card I made one in Elegant Eggplant and one in Brilliant Blue for my Mom and my Aunt for their 65th Birthday on Christmas Eve.  The shape is from Home Accents and the stamp is from Everyday Greetings by Scrappy Moms.
