Baby Boy Scrapbook

Well after many hours of work I finally finished one of the baby scrapbooks that I started.  I started off doing a boy and a girl layout at the same time but a co-worker of mine is having a boy and we are having a shower for her on Friday.  I spent about 20 hrs this week to finish it up.  At least now I have the cuts saved on my Gypsy so it will be easier for the next one.  

All of the patterned paper is from the Baby Boy DCWV stack and the cardstock is all Stampin Up.  I used Baby Steps for most of the layouts but I did also use B is for Boy, New Arrivals,  and 9 Months.  I also used the Nursery Tails Imagine cartridge for the Announcement layout and all of the journalling tags that I tucked behind the photo mats.

Some of these layouts I have already posted but I wanted to show them all together.

Baby Scrapbooks~Proud Parents

Today is National Scrapbook Day and I have the second set of pages for the baby scrapbooks that I am making.  These pages are for the pictures of Mom and Dad with the new baby.  Behind the photo mat is a tag for journalling on.  All of the paper is DCWV and SU.

Throwback Thursday Challenge~Your Choice

This weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is the cartridge of your choice and theme of your choice.  I used a combination of my E2 and my Imagine for these two layouts.  I am making baby boy and baby girl scrapbooks and I am going to make a boy layout and a girl layout each time so that I can complete each scrapbook at the same time.

This is the first page for each scrapbook, the baby announcement.  The announcement and the It's a Boy/Girl circle are both from the Nursery Tails cartridge.  The mat for the announcements are from the Lacy Labels Lite cartridge.

The patterned paper on both layouts are from DCWV and the ribbon is from Stampin Up.

Baby Announcements

My daughters BFF is due any day now and is having a little boy.  His room is decorated with monkeys in brown and green.  So I made up a package of announcement cards to give her.  I used my Imagine with the Nursery Tails and Create a Critter cartridges.  The original announcement card had a giraffe layer.  I didn't cut that.  I placed the monkey over top of a little tree.  I then packaged them up with envelopes and added a matching topper.

Supplies:
Paper:  White (Recollections), Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip (SU)
Ink:  Brown (Momento), White Gelly Roll Pen
Stamps:  Well Scripted (SU)
Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip (SU)

Imagine Nursery Tails

I just received the Imagine Nursery Tails cartridge in the mail along with the Heirloom cartridge.  I was so excited to use this new cartridge.  The images are adorable.  I cut the onesie and the layers for it out at 4" and the "It's a Boy" at 1.5".  The butterfly is from my stash.

I used glue dots to add a little bit of dimension to each layer.  I used pop dots on the onesie, the skunk and the tag.

The card base and the designer paper are Certainly Celery by Stampin Up.
