Christmas Ornaments

I watched a video last Christmas at Obsessed With Scrapbooking http://www.youtube.com/user/Obsessedwithscrappin#p/u/33/lTvq2GPkm9U  and I knew I wanted to make some of these myself.  So as soon as the Christmas things came out at Michael's I bought 3 packages of the clear glass ornaments.  I finally got around to making them yesterday and they were so easy and turned out beautiful.  All you have to do is pour Pledge floor polish in the ornament, swirl it around to make sure it is all covered.  Pour out the excess polish, pour in the glitter (I used Martha Stewart, I love all the colours) and cover the hole and shake it to cover completely, pour out any excess.
I then cut out the names from white vinyl using Winter Woodlands for the font and snowflakes.

Throwback Thursday "Cricut~less" Challenge

The current challenge over at Emma's http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is to make a project which is cricut~less and using some form of Thank You.  This is one of my favourite sets of stamps from Stampin Up.  It is called "Lovely As A Tree", I am also using another stamp in the set for my Christmas cards.  It is so versatile, great for sympathy, masculine, thank you, Christmas and more.  I sponged three different colours of ink onto the stamp and sponged around the edges.  The stamp was cut out using nestabilities.

Supplies:
Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Whisper White cs, DSP (retired)  (SU)
Stamps:  Lovely As A Tree (SU), Everyday Greetings (Scrappy Moms)
Ink: Soft Suede, Peach Parfait, Tangerine Tango
Tools:  Modern Label Punch (SU), Classic Oval Large (Spellbinders)
Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip (SU)

Masculine Birthday Card

I haven't posted anything for awhile.  I have been working on a couple of things for Christmas so I can't post them, yet.   This is the birthday card that I made for my Dad.  I really like the look of the stamp with no colour and I just sponged around the edges.  All supplies are Stampin Up.

For this weeks Throwback Thursday Challenge over at Emma's blog http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ you are to use the From My Kitchen cartridge and the theme is food. This card is the second one that I made for this challenge but I wasn't so pleased with my first one. I used the oven cut and put a pie in the oven, it was just missing something so I started over. Isn't this gingerbread cookie cute? I love the faux icing. I used white Enamel Accents that I got from Michael's, it comes in a package of 1 white and 1 black.

Throwback Thursday Christmas Theme

This weeks challenge over at Emma's blog http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is to make a Christmas themed project using the Celebrations cartridge. I don't have that cartridge so I used Joys of the Season for the Santa hat, which is cut at 3 1/2". I used liquid applique to look like fur on the hat. I love the was it works, you just apply it and heat it with you heat gun and it puffs up.

**I have been receiving some comments about the Liquid Applique. I bought it from http://www.customcrops.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=liquid+applique&submit.x=22&submit.y=15 . They have it in 12 colours.*****
Supplies:
Paper: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White (SU), Holiday Collection-The Christmas Stack (DCWV)
Ink: White Uni-ball pen (Signo)
Embellishments: Buttons, Gems (Recollections), Liquid Applique (Marvy)
